What is E-invoice?
Definition
An e-invoice is a GST invoice whose details are registered on the government's Invoice Registration Portal, which returns an Invoice Reference Number (IRN).
It is not a new invoice format. It is a way of reporting a normal invoice so the data reaches the GST system automatically.
