What is Receivable ageing?

Definition

Receivable ageing groups unpaid customer invoices by how long they have been outstanding, such as 0-30, 31-60, 61-90 and over 90 days.

An ageing report shows which customers pay late and how much cash is stuck, so collections can start with the oldest and largest amounts.
