Purpose
Learn how transactions from operational modules (Procurement, Warehouse, Sales, Manufacturing, Payroll) automatically post balanced double-entry accounting transactions to the General Ledger in IndustryX Suite ERP.
Instructions
- Navigate to Financials Module Overview from the main navigation sidebar.
- Review the Key Functional Areas: Inventory Transactions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Quality Control (QC), and Asset Management.
- Select Organization GL Settings to verify Chart of Accounts mapping, default accounts, and journal structures.
- Select Time Periods to confirm the current fiscal year, quarter, and accounting period are in Open status.
- Search for an operational source document (e.g. an approved purchase bill or posted sales invoice).
- Inspect the resulting General Ledger Transaction: verify Transaction ID, Posting Date, GL Account IDs, and exact balancing of Total Debits and Total Credits.
- Click the drill-down link from the accounting line to return directly to the originating operational business document.
Expected result
Automated GL postings are verified with balanced debit/credit rows and complete bidirectional audit links to source operational transactions.
